Internet goes out when on phone - phone still works though

Whenever my phone rings or I'm using it, my internet will go out. It will stay out too until I'm off the phone. Then it starts working again.
Here's my info:

My location: Broomall, PA
My ISP name and type: Comcast - cable modem
Upload and download speeds: Upload: 3362 kb/s kb/s Download: 13133 kb/s
Modem make and model: Motorola Surfboard Model SB5101
Router make and model: Netgear Wireless G router WGR614 v9
Type of Vonage adapter used: Motorola VT2142-VC
Setup of Network: Cable modem plugged into Router. Vonage adapter plugged into router. I'm using 2 wireless laptops - one with XP. The other with Windows 7. BOTH computer's internet goes out when the phone rings or someone is using it.

Jitter: 1.75 ms
Packet Loss: 0%
Server: USA
Ping: 25.3 ms

Now what?

Are you using a cordless phone?
Older cordless phones used the same frequency as the wireless. (2.4 ghz). If you are using one of those, that is the reason for internet dropping on your laptops. You need to change to new cordless phones that use different frequency.
