Post subject: VOIP - No RAS/TIVO, Modem Support
Well, now that I get my
Voip
setup, LNP and all my home phones switched. I learn that
Vonage
is not allowing Modem traffic through the QOS settings on their network..
I checked with Linksys, who provides the router and Tivo and they both state their product should work fine. So I tried using my phone line to dial up to another computer via RAS.
Guess what - it failed.
Ok, before I call and wait hours for someone at tech support to tell me they don't know, does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Keith

if it's not allowed then why does it work for some? there are examples here, dslreports, tivocommunity, etc. unfortunately they seem to be the minority. check these threads out, maybe they'll help.

and your subject starts with
Voip
which probably shouldn't be there. AT&T for one officially supports dvr's.
