If the solution were that simple it would have been done already.
They are well aware of this issue, and as any business would, they want to resolve it as quickly as possible. It does however require new servers built in Canada for toll-free routing (at a considerable cost). From what I am told it should be resolved within a few (6+) months.

I have been told the same by Vonage service representative.
The toll free server will be set up soon ... sometime before next summer.
I wonder if they are going to put a gateway in each province, for province-only 800 ??

I received a similar response from Vonage Canada today after a few emails back and forth pushing the issue. It stated:

Dear Eric,
Hi again!
Thank you for contacting Customer Care. I apologize for the delay in
responding.
In response to your email, we expect to have this issue resolved in
the earlier 2007. Again I do apologize for this problem.

Therefore, let's give them the benefit of the doubt until early next year. After which we can lay it on them thick again if they don't produce. |
