If you are in Texas there are some problems with making outbound calls right now, should be resolved within the hour. |

I am in Texas. I have been unable to contact Vonage support or sales by ohone since 1/20/05. No matter what extensuion I try in the tree, I always end up at a fast busy signal. I am not calling from a Vonage account - it is the Vonage end that is not working.
In addition, beginning 1/20/05 I have sent multiple emails to support with no reply (except for the initial automated one).
I have been unable to use my phone service for 12 days now, and can find no way to contact Vonage for help.
I can't help but wonder what is going on there - is this company about to go under? |

Have you tried reseting you Vonage box?
Sometimes that helps. |

I have reset the vonage adapter, rebooted the modem, rebooted the modem, connected my phone directly to the adapter rather than through the house wiring. I have taken each of these steps more than once. Nothing I have tried makes any difference. Calls just die a few minutes in - usually only in one direction. Another forum suggests that there may be some problem with either Comcast or my modem, although it has been fine for seven months.
It would just be nice if their phones worked, or if somebody would answer an email I'd rather be on hold than get nothing - makes me wonder about the stability of the company. |

I recently had the same issue with getting the fast busy signal after having to change phone #... It is most likely going to be the phone adaptor... Which one do you have? My issue was with the RT31P2...The vonage tech was saying for some reason they could not see my router and the router was not talking to their server... ?? He had me go thru some steps.
1) With the RT31P2 goto 192.168.15.1
2) goto the admin tab, then factory defaults. It might ask for a username and password (user & 7756112 or admin & admin)
I went through these steps with them and at first none worked while on the phone with them... After hanging up and kept on trying the same procedures and I finally got a response from the adaptor. Don't know if it was because of the steps or just plain luck... Hope this works for someone else.... Good luck! |

No, I don't get a fast busy on my phone - I get it from Vonage after following the press 1, press 2 chain all the way to what ought to be customer service. I have not even tried to call them from my Vonage phone. |
