Post subject: LNP (Phone Number Porting) Question
Last week I went on the
Vonage
website and did their LNP questionair and filled out the LOA and faxed that along with my phone bill. This morning I called on the status and was told that I did not change my number over on the website. Also was told my address was not on the phone bill (which it is not) and they could not accept it. I got on the
Vonage
website and changed my 813-600-XXXX number over to 813-671-XXXX 671 is my current verizon landline. Also I printed a bill off of verizon website that had my address on it which I faxed. Now the problem im having is that I cannot make calls on my
Vonage
line. It rings 3 or 4 times and then I get a fast busy signal. I can receive calls on this line. Has anyone had a problem where you cant use your
Vonage
service for the 20 days it takes for the number to be ported over? Why should I pay for something I cannot use. Thanks in advance.

Well I can dial out again. Maybe they were doing something to my account or something. Had to redo all my voice mail stuff ie. password/ogm and stuff. Maybe they shut the 813-601 voicemail down and now have that set to 813-671 or something. Have the new stuff faxed over and hopefully all will go smooth
