So if I order Vonnage do they send someone to my home to install it? I did not see anything on the web site about setting an appointment for installation. If my husband needs to do it, it will never get done. |

There is no installation person. Installation is extremely straight forward. Just follow the directions. If you don't feel like doing it yourself I'm sure there is some neighborhood kid that would be able to do it in about 30 seconds or someone you work with. |

It's really easy.
what type of home network do you have right now? do you have broadband connected right into your computer?
if that's the case, then you can connect the router for Vonage directly to the cable, then your pc to the router.

You might also have to get a new husband, but sometimes that gets a little pricey.

Home network? I have Time Warner Cable with a big wire that plugs into my computer.
What is a router? |

You are funny, I like you. It will be pricey for HIM if I replace him. |

*snicker*
anyways, the cable that comes from the cable modem, that looks like an over-sized telephone cable, if it goes directly into the back of your computer, then the installation should be simple:
take the cable from the cable modem (the thick telephone one) and plug it into one of the three jacks in the back that say 'lan' or basically they are in a group of 3... then plug the supplied cable that came with the Vonage system into the back of your cable modem, and into the Vonage box marked 'wan'.
after that, plug a phone into one of the smaller phone style jacks, probably phone1.
then you should be good to go |

With the Vonage box is a new cable,
Take the one from the cable modem that now goes to the computer, plug it into the Vonage box.
The new cable, supplied, goes from the Vonage box to the computer.
Turn off everything first, install as above. Turn on modem first, then Vonage box, and then computer... Works well.
That is the deal.
This is subject to someone else with a simplier way. |

GardRailz and houuser;'
You boys are great. I hope the Vonage box comes before me and the girls have drinks or I might have a big mess for the hubby. |
