My account is blocked. I presume this is the case because the only number I can call is the 1800VONAGEHELP. But it's not much help since after 30 minutes of waiting still no answer..............
And email goes unanswered.
Incoming service is not working.

What is wrong with Vonage that they don't sort out their customer care?
Should I switch back to IConnectHere? Their only downside is that they don't have LNP.

Can you provide us some details? What ISP, what cable modem, what Vonage device are you using? What are the status indicators on the device? Do you hear dial tone? What have you tried w or w/o tech support?

I get a dialtone and I can dial 1800VONAGEHELP and get into the voice prompt system however nobody answers. If I call any other number I get a reorder(fast busy)

I'm using a PAP2. I don't see any need for any other configuration data since the call to Vonage support technically is OK.

Are you using a firewall? Do you have the appropriate port forwarding set (5060-5061 UDP and 10000-20000 UDP-you may not need this last range)? I know this sounds "textbook" but have you rebooted everything including your cable modem? Also, either set a static IP address or a "Reserved" dynamic IP address to the PAP2. As far as the other configuration, I only ask to help us get a clear picture of your network (A lot of us are network admins/engineers).

Hi:

I'm also a network person therefore find it difficult to understand the relationship between calls to some numbers working and other numbers not working and the firewall settings. SIP ports, RTP port range, TFTP port, DNS port and NTP port are opened through the firewall, my ISP gives me a static IP and the IP from the router to the PAP2 is reserved.

When you go to your "account page" what does the status show?

Has it ever worked, and could there be a question about your credit card and therfore your account is on hold?

Finally got through to a live person at Vonage. "There's nothing wrong here" she said - and miraculously everything is now OK!
