Post subject: Defective Adapter
After talking to tech support, they said I have a defective adapter that I just bought 3 hous ago from circuit city. I went to the "activate" page and entered the MAC address of my new adapter. Now I have to change the MAC address. Is the only way to do this is with tech support? Can I go to the activate page and do a re activate? What would be the easiest way to do this with my new MAC number?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

I may be incorrect but I believe once you've successfully entered/registered a MAC address on your account, you can only add/change MACs by calling customer support.

I agree...that is one thing that I found a little goofy during the signup. I had followed a link for signup to get a free month, but once I had signed up there was no way to add a MAC address. I had to call customer service and endure the long wait. However, in the long run it paid off since I wasn't charged an activation fee, didn't have to pay to get an uneeded

adapter (had bought one at Best Buy) and I still got my free month too! Too bad they didn't have a way to automate this process.

what's weird is that on that activate a retail box you're also allowed to add/order another line to your current adpt. but when you put the mac address it tells you its invalid. So what's the point of that option then?
