We just signed up to Vonage and received the free adapter. Connected to one of our 66 blocks and no dial tone. If plug a phone straight into the adapter it works fine. I have 11 phones punched down on the 66 block with some 40+ feet runs. All wires are wired with Cat3 or Cat5 in a home run setup.
I know the adapter will only ring five phones (REN) but was surprised it can not do dial tone. What is the max phones that it can generate dial tone for?
