I signed up yesterday, and got the first month free & also the activation fee waved. I'm only paying the 10 bucks for shipping. I'm even saving on their already cheap rates!!! |

I got the same deal a few days ago. I just received my RT31P2 device and it integrated quite nicely into my pre-existing network. |

How? The coupon at the top of page, but what about the activation? how did you get it all free? |

I called, and told them it was between them and lingo... lingo had a 20.00 fee, but the vonage rep said they'd waiv the activation + first month's fee and only charge me 9.95 for shipping of the router.
I had no intention of signing up, but after that, i thought i'd be stupid not to |

I basically got the same thing. I bought my PAP2 at Best Buy and called up to activate it. Got a free month and no activation fee. |

All adapters purchased from a retail store have no activation fee. |

I don't remember what exactly, but I was a little hesitant and then she offered me the deal...maybe their protocol is not to offer it to someone who seems ready to "jump in", but when showing a little reluctance they do that. Just like when you told them it was between them and another company....just my 2 cents |

I got the same offer too as well as a $49 credit on my account. I even told her we were military and my husband is deployed which he is. This gives you a chance to try out their service. But knowing me I will never go back to SPRINT and their HIGH PRICES. |

'eh, there are advantages of having land lines... from surfing the forums, I've found that if you have to use a modem to connect to places (work releated), the voice over IP system may not be able to accomodate you easily.
Also, for credit card activation procedures that require individuals to call from their home number... It may not activate you due to the way the phone calls are switched through vonages network...
Sorry I dont have links to other discussions in this forum, just do a search, you'll find the threads... |
