I agree with what everyone has said here.
I'm a BS in CPE and CSC and don't need some Tier2 Tech Support guy telling me that I'm an idiot and know nothing about Technology and marketing. How do you expect people to act when your so irritated in your responses.
I came to Vonage and have actually spread the good word about the service to many other. I can't say much for their customer service so I always warn about that, but as far as the service its definately the best out there right now. I have a friend with VoicePulse and his service is much worse then mine. My point was that you should take a calmer more helpful approach rather than ranting about how its not Vonage's problem. I've been a customer for 1.5 years now and am usually a first adopter of new technology because I don't mind playing with it to make it work.
Anyways thanks for the links guys...I'll look into that! As for JScott, it was good to see Vonage had representation on the board...I just thought it would be a bit more professional and helpful. OH and good luck with everything! |

they have a wired, and wireless option, along with a device which adds a psudo caching controller on the IDE bus which speeds up over-all IO.
for the record, i've only worked with the wired tivonet adapter, actually, i worked with the one before it which converted the proprietary internal adapter to an ISA, which was then sent to a 10bT ISA network adapter... |
I don't think they have this for the DTivo...at least I didn't see it. Thanks for the help though. |

I apologize if I offended anyone. I never meant for any of u to take anything I said personally. I speak generally & if u don't feel anything I've said applies to you, then don't take it to heart. I have never attacked any of u personally, but some of u have chosen to attack me personally...totally uncalled 4. But again I apologize 2 u all. And as I've said, I won't b posting anymore. Those people that have emailed me & PMed me here and at work, feel free to continue to do so, if u need me. |

I have 2 DirecTivos, and this works:
http://www.tivohelp.com/archive/tivohelp.swiki.net/45.html
You just need your Tivo to be close enough to your computer to make a 9 pin serial connection. Or you could use an ethernet cable and a 9 pin to RJ45 adaptor.
And just to add a note for any future Vonage reps who may be coming through: please try to avoid using AOLspeek in your posts, it makes you sound like an idiot. |

What the heck is with the bold. Anyways I don't think I attacked you initially...I just saw a trend in your responses and felt it appropriate to comment.
^ THanks for the link...I did see that however the unit is downstairs and I'd have to disconnect it to get it to work. Actually now that I think of it I could use my laptop with this...THanks! |

You can get the cable 20' long and add a stereo cable to it lengthen it and run it down your walls if need be. http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?postid=2487738#post2487738 |
