Is anyone here using Road Runner with Vonage?
I see everyone has service with someone but I have yet to see Road Runner and awaiting for my adaptor.
We do not care for DSL as we had problems in Germany with that so we use RR for Cable since it is much faster. |

But I don't think it has anything todo with RR since I did use Vonage with RR for months before the problems began. |

I have Roadrunner. I am in Upstate NY. I have had sporadic problems since the start (about 6 months). They tell me it is a general problem in my area that that can't find. Time Warner wants you to get highspeed internet, cable tv, HD, Phone ect. on 1960's cables and switches. I am in hopes they will get this resolved. By the way they also want me to drop Vonage and get there Digital Phone. My thought is maybe they are in no hurry to fix a problem with Voip on there lines as long as there Digital Phone is unaffected. Just a thought. |

Thanks I am here in TX and they do not offer VOIP thru RR and second it costs too much compared to Vonage...maybe Vonage should start their own Cable Internet all together. |

I am a RR customer and use Vonage. I originally had digital phone service through Time-Warner / RR and the service was great .... but expensive $39 +.
I switched to Vonage a few months ago. I've had a couple of issues but feel I am getting my moneys worth. Lots of bells and whistles for the buck. Your VOIP is only as good as the weakest link so I've been lucky RR is solid here in my area of North Carolina. |

No problems at all. Great service and customer service but $39 was more then I wanted to pay. We use our cell phone for a lot of our calling so I just needed service and had a lot of negative issues with land line Bell-South. If money was not an issue I would have kept RR VOIP. |

Yeah RR VOIP is $20 less than Sprint Landline and I am getting rid of my Sprint just to save money with Vonage.
My phone adaptor will be here soon so I hope all goes well.
Not sure how long VOIP has been around but I am sure they are trying to fix the glitches.
Sometimes my RR Internet goes out for whatever reasons but I am happy with it. |
