Dear Members,
I use Vonage outside US (Bahrain). Vonage was me was working fine till one I recieve a mail that I have been using Vonage to make international calls more than 3000 min/month (my plan world one) hence they may disconnect the serivce.
After that I carefully monitored the calls to > 3000 mins/month, Vonage was still working, but sometime back it just stopped working. When we start the device, it thows a msg initially : retriving profile - but later displays a message : connect to internet.
Cable connection is in right soket, Vonage is deducting money everymonth. but I am not able to use the service.
A friend on mine uses Vonage in Bahrain wih same ISP (Zain) so it does not have problem
Observation, commets, feedback.. |

It is listed in TOS that if you go over 5,000 minutes Vonage will switch you to a "power user" plan. It is a usage issue, and has nothing to do with your location. And since your device is set to a U.S.A. number when calling International you will need to call the same as being in U.S.A. - I hope this helps. Please read below -- When a customer's Vonage World usage for any line is not consistent with normal residential use as outlined in the Terms of Service (Sections 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 10.1), the customer is notified and encouraged to correct usage. If usage is not corrected, the line is placed on the Power User Rate Plan at $49.99 plus taxes/fees. |

001 means the ethernet cable is not connected to the wan (blue) port. If you have the cable connected, see if a new cable helps, if that does not help the wan port may be defective. Let me know how that works out. |

If Vonage is being blocked, you would most likely receive the same error response . . .and Bahrain is known for blocking a number of servces. You may simply have been caught.
I would take your Vonage box to your freinds house and try it there. |
