How do I turn OFF reception of SMS Text messages

I know that some people have been asking to be able to receive SMS text messages on their Vonage phone line.

We have the opposite problem. if someone sends an SMS Text message we receive it with a text-Speech recording of the original text - BUT we don't wish to have this service - How can I stop us receiving SMS text messages.

Or put nother way - How do I BLOCK reception of SMS Text messages on a Vonage number.

I still wish to receive my normal Voicemail notifications by emails, but I do NOT wish to receive a SMS tex. The reason is that we have been receiving Junk messages, and they may arrive at all times of the day or night.

We have not requested this facility and therefore do NOt wish to have the ability to receive SMS text messages to our Vonage Number.

I called the Vonage Customer Support, but they are just confused and they cannot see anything more than I can see in the Features options of the Vonage portal. perhaps there is someone technical that would know exactly how or who to call to have this service disabled.

We did the same with a BT Landline, and it was just a matter of asking BT to switch it off.

P.S. I am in the UK. The customer services say that we don't have that feature in the UK - BUT sorry yes we do!! I've sent several Text messages from my mobile and they end up as a message in my Vonage Voicemail box.
