Before you got
Vonage
, you probably had one ethernet cable plugged into your PC or a hub and the other end was plugged in to your cable modem. Unplug this cable from the cable modem, and plug it in to the LAN port on the
Vonage
device. Plug a new ethernet cable into the WAN port on the
Vonage
device, and plug the other end in to your cable modem.
If you are not currently using ethernet at all (for example, you use the wireless feature of your cable modem with the Wi-Fi capability of your PC) then plug one ethernet cable into your cable modem, and plug the other end into the WAN port of your
Vonage
device. Leave the LAN port of the
Vonage
device empty.

The line shown as - - - is optional.
