I have one last question before I sign up. I determined that I am able to keep my existing phone number. I understand it takes awhile for the number to be transferred over to Vonage. My question is, before the transfer goes through, how can I still receive calls going to my existing number? Would I have to forward that number to the temporary (virtual?) number assigned by Vonage?
Unsure of the specifics here. Any clarification would be appreciated. I just don't want to lose my existing number for the time it takes Vonage to transfer it over.
Thanks. |

I just used two telephone. One was incoming from Bell South and the other I used for long distance (Vonage).
My transfer is still waiting after two months.
Hope your goes faster. It makes me wonder why Vonage doesn't have a system to red flag those that take over , say, 45 days and really work on them. They don't seem to do that. They just seem to take the attitude that maybe it will happen sooner or later. |

you can if you want. otherwise just leave your phone plugged in like normal until it transfers. or put one phone on Vonage and one as normal. there are several options. |

So what happens while you wait for your transfer? If it takes months, you pay two phone bills!?!?
That would not be cool.

Vonage should credit you until transfer is complete. you'll have to pursue it though, it's not automatic. |
