Post subject: Static IP VDV21-VD with Airport
Hello,
So I got
Vonage
adapter VDV21-VD last night. Configured it to set static IP on my internal LAN behind airport express. Somehow, it is stuck at retreiving profile. However it is showing connected to internet.
setup is like this.
Comcast Cable -->> Apple Airport Wireless router--->>
Vonage
Adapter VDV21-VD
Apple airport is handing out DHCP address from 192.168.11.2 - 192.168.11.99 for laptop and other machines.
I have my old PAP2 which is working with other provider set to 192.168.11.101 and it works flawlessly. I can remote into from my PC etc.
I set
Vonage
adapter static IP to 192.168.11.102. Remote management is enable. Everything is what it suppose to be. With this setting I can't remote into
Vonage
adapter from my PC (which is on 192.168.11.x LAN) even though remote management is enabled. and with this setup (static IP)
Vonage
adapter refused to go online.
So reset the
Vonage
adapter again. left it like out of the box to receive IP from DHCP..and now it is able to go online and have dialtone. Still after setting remote management ON, I can't remote into this box. Airport handed out 192.168.11.4 IP to it. I can see in airport access logs.
Any idea??
