I put my order in on monday. It's now friday. my order says COMPLETED on their site, but UPS can't track it. I'm getting worried this stuff won't arrive before my 14 day trial is up. This whole 14 day thing is kinda crap if you ask me. There is absolutely no reason why it should start until you have received and registered the phone adapter. What good is a 14 day trial, if you maybe get 1-2 days to try it?

I ordered mine two weeks ago, it was a full week from the time it said my order was complete until it got into the hands of UPS.

Do you have your adapter yet? If this takes much longer, I'm gonna call them and ****. There's no way they're screwing me out of the trial, just because they can't get things sent out in a timely manner.

Mine was shipped via UPS Ground this past Monday night a few hours after the web site said the order had been completed that morning. I received the new phone adapter the next morning on Tuesday of this week. I think that's pretty fast service.

Mine worked right out of the box with no issues. I just plugged an ethernet cable from the the Vonage phone adapter (a Linksys RT31P2) into the first port on my existing router (a Linksys WCG200 combo cable modem/router/wireless access point) and connected the power adapter to the phone adapter. I then connected a cordless phone to the Vonage phone adapter in the phone port #1 with the provided standard telephone cable.

I waited about 30 seconds, picked up the phone, and had a dial tone. My cordless phone also has an extension, which also works fine. Everything has worked great on my new Vonage account from that moment.

I didn't change any settings on anything other than setting up my voice mail and other preferences on the Vonage web site. I did not need to set up QOS or DMZ or anything else -- but I do have a very fast cable service with lots of bandwidth.

I do not have the white noise problem some folks have complained about with the Linksys phone adapter. Since I only got mine this week, I think I may have gotten one with the newer firmware on it -- or perhaps I just got lucky.

I really hope to be happy with the service. I'm not even really impatient about getting the adapter, as much as I don't understand the trial period system. If the trial was 30 days, it might make more sense. I just don't want to get the adapter and have to make up my mind in 2 days whether or not to keep it, without adequate testing.

I got it the next day, I am in NY and it comes from NJ.

By the way, you'll get an email from UPS as soon as they have the order in their hands. That will be the best sign that your device is on the way and can be tracked by UPS. Before that UPS will not find the reference number even though the Vonage site says the order has been completed.

I'm close to New Jersey, which may explain why I got my adapter so soon after shipping -- but Vonage got my unit out one business day after I placed the order. I ordered it online on Friday night after business hours and it was shipped on Monday night and received on Tuesday morning.

Hope you get your adapter soon and that it all works for you. In the meantime, you should be able to go to the Vonage web site and set up your voice mail and other preferences. That's how I filled the time while I was waiting. Very Happy

This is why I bought mine at a B&M store. Sure, I have to wait for rebates, but I get a 1 year warranty on the hardware and no activation fee. Plus I was up and running the same day.
