Help Please ip stuff

I am trying to install a home security system (powerlink pro). The internet portion (required for emails sms etc). I need to log into this system via web browser 192.168.1.200. Therein lies the problem. First, i have a VT2542 that assigns 192.168.15.1 thru whatever is hooked up ie: .1.2.3.4.5..... When I type in address 192.168.15.200, I get sent to google search. I have tried everything that i can think of including vonage tech, motorola tech, visonic (security people) tech, Setting port forwards, setting statics, Please help or advise on a wireless cable modem router as my gut feeling is "its the router" somehow. did you tried to hook the router to your v-adapter?
The v- adapter should go first into your modem and then your router so that way the priority will be the adapter, also vonage adapter won't work with alarm systems

Thank you for responding. I do not have an adapter, I have cablemodem---VT2542 Motorola vonage wireless router------Im not trying to dial out on vonage, the security system has a gsm for that with a card (seperate deal). Im trying to get internet, but cannot get to the security box from the router.
