As I had promised, this is an update on my LNP status. Below is the sequence of events (since my last post on this thread) leading upto te latest (today..which I progressing on the happy Path
1. Feb 3rd - No email confirming the transfer due on Feb 4th.
2. Feb 4th - No email and no transfer. I send an email to dslreports@vonage.com late in the day asking for an update. Got an automated response..nothing else.
3. Feb 5th - Gave vonage a call and spoke to a CS rep. Thought he could not provide me with an update, he did give me a 1-month credit (since my transfer was taking more than 20 business days).
4. Feb 7th - Called in again and spoke to a CS. Courtious rep but he didnt have any update. He gave me a ticket # and said I should expect an email from vonage within 2-3 days on the status.
5. Feb 8th (today) - I finally FWDed the email (point 2 above) to Jeffery.citron@vonage.com) at 9:56 am EST...hoping that I might have better luck/response from the Executive team.
6. Feb89th (today) 10:06 am EST -> I receive an email stating my transfer has been approved and it will happen tommorow (feb 9th). Even the status on my online account reflects the same
Hopefully, I will be as happy as MikySoft tommorow |

Do any of you know if it is possible to sign up for the LNP at a later date. Wanna keep my current line until I'm satisfied with Vonage, then go ahead with the LNP.
Thanks in advance! |

evrclr,
Yes. It is possible..infact, a lot of folks do/havedone what u have in mind...infact, your LNP will not start till you actually fax the required documents to Vonage i.e. you an go in and signUp for LNP..but wait till you are satisfied with the service before sending in the fax. |

Thanks icici.
Thought that would be the case, but figured I'd get a quicker response here rather than Vonage. Heard they have atrocious hold times. I also figured that upon leaving Vonage, my number could be switched from them to any other provider. Is that correct?
btw..Richmond, VA here. |

from what I have read on this forum : if you bring ur number into vonage, u can take it out. If you got a new number from vonage, then you cannot take it out..
A lot of ppl whave posted horrid CS wait-times on this forum. Personally, the worst I have had to "endure" is 20 minutes...thought I usually get-thru in 4-5 minutes. That is acceptable for me.. |
