Does anyone know if it's possible to use the Vonage soft phone product with a pocket PC? It would be incredibly useful if I could make phone calls from my Wi-fi enabled IPAQ pocket pc whenever I was near an open accesspoint. |

XTen (http://www.xten.com), the company that makes the soft phone software for Vonage has a PocketPC version that's pretty nice. It's $29.95 though. Works pretty well on my iPaq 5455 but there is some delay. My hypothesis is that it's probably because the CODEC is pretty taxing on the 400 MHz Xscale processor in the iPaq, not a network latency issue because there's near zero delay over my PAP2 TA.
By the way, the gateway is sphone.vopr.vonage.net:5061 if you decide to take the plunge.
