I have used the Vonage 500 minute plan since January 2004 and have, for the most part, been satisfied with the service.
I switched to Vonage because I was tired of the ever increasing garbage fees that Southwestern Bell kept adding to the bill. At the time, Vonage was even using their lack of garbage fees as a selling point, promising that they would never tack on garbage like the other phone companies did.
Like Ziggle, these fees are prompting me to look at other options. I think that I will be switching to Viatalk sometime in the next few months. I'm sure that Viatalk has their own set of fees, but it appears that I can save a little money and get an even better set of features. |

I have two lines plus a virtual number, with both lines on the 500-minute plan. I have made no changes to my account, and my monthly bill has gone up from $42.31 in early 2007 to $61.65 this month. That is a 46 percent increase in two years, gobbling up nearly $20 more per month.
Yes, I would pay more from my land-line telco. But my voice quality is not good, and I'm fed up with paying more for lousy quality. I will be looking for alternatives. |

If your having audio problems, its not your service. You have equipment or network problems. I would recommend you post full details of your problem or contact technical support and you might be surprised when you experience the full quality of Vonage. |
