Hello All,
First, let me say, that if I plug a cable in between my computer and the V-Phone, I can access the setup at 192.168.15.1.
But, my issue is that I can't access it when my network is fully connected.
I have broadband via U-verse. So I have the AT&T Residential Gateway. I run a connection between it and a Netgear GS108T switch. I have my V-Portal adapter plugged into the switch. The RG assigns the adapter the IP 192.168.1.24. I can make and recieve calls.
The issue is that I can't access the setup page using either of the two IPs (192.168.15.1 or 192.168.1.24).
I should be able to access it without having to do a direct connection from my PC right?
I think that the cable from the switch to the V-Portal is currently plugged into the Internet port. That is correct right?
I'd really like to be able to access the setup page so that I can mess with things and try to increase the quality of my calls to Costa Rica.
Any advice would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Rex |

When you were able to access the router from your PC, the PC was probably connected to the LAN side of the router. When your network is fully connected, you are on the WAN side of the router. If you want to administer the router from its WAN side, you must enable this option. To do that, you must connect once more to its LAN side so that you can log in and administer it.
When you want to access it on its WAN port, use the IP address assigned to it by your router. |
