Recently I had to change gateways from a Linksys to an Netgear ADSL Modem/Router DGN2000. Ever since then, every time the phone is answered (not just ringing, but actually answered) all internet connectivity dies on my PC and laptop.
After a few seconds, the connection refreshes and reconnects.
When you hang up the phone, once again the connection goes down and has to refresh and reconnect after a few seconds.
Both the PC and laptop are using wireless. I do not believe this is caused by wireless interference, however, as I have tested this with a hardlined phone without any problems.
I am convinced that the issue is a hardware configuration, considering that up until replacing my old gateway with the new one I never had an issue.
Any thoughts? |

Are you only having these problems when you use a cordless phone? |
