Hi, I have two lines with Vonage and am using a two line cordless phone system. I've been using the additional line for about two days now and the first line for almost a year. Anyway, both lines were working properly but now only line 2 works. When I select line one from my cordless phone, I get a dialtone but when I dial the number I get no feedback from my phone and the call never connects. When I select line two (on the same cordless phone) I get a dial tone and the keypad beeps as I dial the numbers and the call connects. I'm using a brand new Phippips two line cordless phone and this started happening yesterday. I reset the voice mail and did a complete network reboot starting with my ATT modem/router and then the Vonage device and the problem still persists. Any ideas why this may be happening? Thanks in advance on any help. |

If I understand you correctly, your cordless handset behaves differently (e.g. provides a beep feedback in response to keypad entries) on line 2 and line 1. This sounds like a handset problem. Have you tested with a known good corded phone in each of the two phone jacks on your Vonage device?
Does your two-line cordless phone base unit have one cord connecting two lines (RJ-14) or two single-line cords (RJ-11 x 2)? If you have two cords, try reversing them (plug the line 2 cord into the phone 1 jack of your Vonage device and vice versa) and see if the problem stays with the physical line or the button on your handset. |

Thanks for your reply and help. I tested several different phones and the problem still exists only on line one. I'm using two separate line cords. One line cord from port 1 on the Vonage device into line one on the back of the phone and the same thing on line 2. This is VERY frustrating. Especially since it was working fine only yesterday! |

Thanks, I got it working... line one needs to have the grey cord connected to the back of the phone and not the black phone line cord and someone in my house switched line cords for God only knows what and that is why line one was not connecting...lol |
