Hello, I've been at this for a while, about 2 or 3 weeks, and i can't seem to port forward ANY port. My router is the motorola vt-4224-vd.
I port forwarded, made rules, and nothing seems to open any port. I even tryed setting to DMZ and the ports were still blocked. maybe it has something to do with my cable modem since i connected the computer straight from there and the ports are still all blocked.
my setup is cable->modem->router-> PC + Wireless + Xbox 360
the modem is a Motorola SB5120 |

If you're connecting to a softphone on your computer, maybe its the windows firewall. Check under control panel>windows firewall> set it to disabled just to test your application.
Also some routers do no process firewall settings changes unless they're rebooted. So try making your changes and then restarting the router.
Best of luck,
