Post subject: Uverse with Vonage and Airport extreme base station
My current set up is
Vonage
with cable modem and airport extreme base station. I am ploying with the idea of switching over to At&t Uverse. Has anyone successfully set up
Vonage
with uverse and airport base station? I am on Motorola VT1005 phone adapter.

While I don't have
Vonage
, and it does appear less expensive than Uvoice, I do have a airport extreme base station. You will need to put the Airport extreme base station in bridge mode and plug the AE into one of the ethernet ports of the 2wire RG supplied by At&t. I am not sure which model RG you will be getting if you just sign up for internet. I have internet and voice and
Vonage
as I see is less expensive for 500 minutes than Uvoice is for 250 minutes. At&t is also regulated so you have regulated charges added on top of the uvoice charges but not the internet charges.
