I have a Vonage home connection. I want to know how can I set up that connection, so that I can call my home number and then call a destination number. (Like we call a Toll Free Number for a calling card and then after auth. call the destination number.) Any information is highly appreciated. |

There is no way to do that using only Vonage. If you have a PC that is equipped with an analog telephone interface (i.e. a Dialogic board, or a modem with telephony features, or something similar) you can write an application that does it:
Connect the analog telephone line from the Vonage device to your equipment. Write an application that waits for an incoming call, and then answers it. Read touch tones from the caller and capture the caller's password and the destination number. Validate the password, then generate a hook-flash toward the Vonage device, and dial #90 plus the destination number, plus #. Then go back on-hook and await the next incoming call. Your application is using the Vonage call transfer feature. Note that doing this may put you in violation of your contract with Vonage. |

You can purchase a DialMate CM1003 (see www.woodtel.com) and do a call bridge, call back and call transfer automatically without a computer. If you are calling from a cell phone, you subscribe to a cellular plan which has either free incoming calls or free calls to and from favorite numbers. You designate your Vonage® number as a favorite number. This gives you free unlimited air time calling to and from that number. Even as a heavy cell phone user, you can sign up for the minimum per month plan and slash your monthly bill and still make free unlimited air time and long distance calls (to 60 countries, if you have Vonage World). You can also share the Vonage line with your friends and family in any of the 60 countries. |

Yes, but 4 to 5 thousand minutes per month are a lot to exceed. |

2.7 hours a day. Some people have one call that is that long. |

Whether you are bridging a call or not, the normal usage can be exceeded. Therefore there is no pertinence of this comment on the subject of the thread. |

Edilbert, I just read about your DialMate® With this configuration I can see users exceeding the defined normal use. Is this your company? |
