2. Comcast hi-speed cable
3. Upload=17.6Mbps download=4.79Mbps
4. Linksys CM100
5. Vonage adapter Linksys PAP2v2
6. Modem-->Router-->Vonage Adapter
7. Issue you are experiencing: Can make calls but cannot receive calls

I get a dial tone and can make outgoing calls, but when people try to call me the get a recording saying "This is a non-working number"

Currently an issue and Vonage is diligently working on this, affecting 206/253/360/425 area codes. Vonage to Vonage should work, landlines,cellular will fail.

It would have been nice to have known this a few hours ago. I haven't received calls for 7 hours. I tried to call customer support & after being on hold for 15 minutes twice I was disconnected. Half my day's been wasted dealing with trying to solve the problem on my end.

I got my last phone call at 10:03am no calls for over nine hours. I have had 4 people come to the house to talk to me and let me know my phone is out.

Vonage has tech issues. Letting service be out this long just shows how unprepared they are to handle technical issues. Very poor service.

Are there any good dependable VIOP providers out there?

I just spent that last 2 hours, after coming back from a business trip, trying to get through to Technical Support. Every time, I sit on hold for 10-15 minutes waiting for technical support. I then hear it ring, and ring and ring, and then it just disconnects.

I finally gave up and called and reached a customer support agent and this is what I was told about not being able to receive incoming calls...

The 425/206/253...area codes are all being affected because of their 3rd party company being affected by the earthquake in Chile. UMMM, I feel really bad and my heart goes out to the people in Chile, but WHY ARE MY INCOMING CALLS GETTING ROUTED THROUGH CHILE THEN TO ME??? Are you serious? Why isn't there any redundancy plan or backup plan? What happened to high availability? 7+ hours of down phone lines is bad.

Then they ask me if I have another phone? I'm suppose to have another phone in case Vonage doesn't work??? What if there's an emergency and some can't get a hold of you.

I never could reach support over the phone concerning this issue. Whatever happened, the phone started working after about 10 hours. Emailing back & forth with tech support all they would tell me is
[I]"we came to know that calls to the numbers in 206/253/360/425 area codes are failing due to an optical cable of our carrier being down. Our Network Operations Center is currently investigating this issue diligently to identify a prompt resolution. "[I]
I find having a 10 hour service interruption unacceptable. I've started my search for other service.

Certainly a firewall issue. You can probably try connecting directly to the ISP modem. I believe it should work for you with no problems.
