Question.
I have the bare basic Vonage plan (unlimited incoming, 100 minutes outgoing for $9.99 - This is the unpublished plan that they offered me to get me to stay when I told them I wanted to cancel my service because $30+ a month is too much, when I only use maybe 50-75 minutes a month). One thing I'm considering doing is forwarding my Vonage number to my cell phone, if I'm not home.
Does forwarding incoming calls to my cell phone use up my 100 outgoing minutes a month? I would think it does, but just wondering if someone can confirm. In theory, I don't usually expect to go over my 100 minutes, but I just want to confirm so that I know.
Thanks! |

A forwarded call from Vonage to a non Vonage phone number will rate the same way as a call directly dialed to that phone number. So the answer is YES. Since you are on a rated plan, meaning you have a set number of minutes to use, forwarding calls to non Vonage numbers will eat away at your minutes. |
