Post subject: High Gain Antenna for WRT54GP2 Linksys/Vonage Router
Hello,
Can someone point me to a high gain antenna that will work with my linksys/vonage router? I'm getting a lot of conflicting information. I believe that the connector type is an R-SMA. I bought a high gain antenna that has a RP-TNC type connector and it does, of course, not fit.
Do you think I can just buy an adapter that goes from RP-TNC to R-SMA or do I need another antenna altogether due to polarity. I believe that the polarity of the high gain antenna that I bought has the correct polarity, but I'm not totally sure.
Here's the description: 802.11g 9dBi OMNI-Directional High-Gain Screw-On Swivel Antenna for Routers or Network Card Adapters - Fits Linksys WRT54G WRT54GL, BEFW11S4, WAP54G, WAP11 and WSB24. With RP-TNC Connector by 9dBi
Any help would be appreciated... thanks, Dave
