HI, I have a small business and I been thinking on switching to Vonage for a while, but what has stopped me so far is that I have a four line business package with verizon business plan.

How it works is that ppl call our main phone number 1400, but there's 4 lines so if 1400 line is busy the call is forward to either 1401, 1402 for example.

Is possible that kind of service on Vonage package for business?
If not, is there anything alike?

Thanks

I haven't seen it.

Let me know if you find that solution
I'm finding it a challenge operating a business with 2 Vonage lines.

It's a real quirky setup
Maybe there is a business package that I don't know about...

What you have from Verizon is called a hunt group. All telephone companies offer hunt groups, including Vonage. The chief difference is that on Vonage, you can configure the hunt group yourself, and at no extra charge, from your account on their web site.

The only exception I know of is that Optimum Voice (from Cablevision) does not offer hunt groups on residential service. They are available on business service.

Dave
Is the hunt group available with the regular service or in a business package?

Thanks

As I wrote before, on Vonage, any subscriber with more than one line may enable hunting, in any sequence, among any or all lines on the same account. This is true of business and residence service.

For more detail, visit the Features page on the Vonage web site.

I saw your post and thought I would see if I could help. I have a computer repair company and we used to run our business off of two Vonage lines. We had two phones.. One would ring up front and if it was busy we would run to the back to pick up the other one. Very bad setup.. Anyways I had a friend of mine turn me on to a company called Cytracom. They offer a fully hosted Voip Phone system that let us get rid of our two phones. With Cytracom we were actually able to get unlimited lines, music on hold, hunt groups and several other features.. it ended up being cheaper than what I was paying for Vonage. Anyways might be something worth looking into. I know it has been great for us and we have had it for over a year now.

Here is the link to their site: www.cytracom.com

Looks like you need a PBX here. You might need a new hardware for this too.
