Post subject: Constantly having to reset modem?
Having my
Vonage
adapter in Mexico I found myself having to constantly unplug my
Vonage
adapter to reset the unit so it would work again. Every three days max the unit had to be reset. Any incoming calls would immediatley go to voicemail and it was quite irritating.
Vonage
customer support was as helpful as possible but couldn't find a solution. Here is my solution and it works great! Buy outlet timer at walmart (the kind people use to turn lights on and off automatically when they are away) and set it to cut the power off to the unit daily at some ungodly hour when no one would call you. IE 3:30 am for fifteen minutes. I haven't had an issue since I did this and it is an inexpensive solution.

Post subject: frequent reset
i frequently have to reset due to power outages or electrical storms. I unplug

, Lynksis & Media Com respectively. I wait for about 30 secs & then replug each in reverse order after all indicator lights respond at each defvice. Always requires that i unplug remote connector from computer as well. Sometimes to reconnect to remote requires that I "refresh" as well. Obviously, when I am not at home this is a problem.

I am having similar issue, but it seems to be with my cable modem.
Chpoppy phone quality gets progressively worse over time and the modem needs to be reset to clear it up.
Packet loss gets big.
