Post subject: Router Problems...
Hi everyone, I'm a
Vonage
user and have a question about my configuration. I currently run 4 computers off of my Linksys router, unfortunately my
Vonage
takes up one of the slots and there's one that doesn't work. Can I run the
Vonage
on its own ethernet card in the main computer? What I mean is, add a second card to the computer to open a port for the extra computer to plug in to? I hope I'm not being redundant....

A much easier answer is to get a cheap $20 switch and plug that into a LAN port on your existing router. You can then use the additional ports on the new switch for expansion. You will use one port on both the current Linksys and the new switch in order to connect them together.
Note that you probably want a plain LAN switch, not a home router for this. The latter would work but you would have to de-configure some stuff to set it up.
