Prior to our new Vonage installation our wireless was working fine. After installation of Vonage a month back, we are experiancing significant wireless issues. NEtgear WNR 2000 wirelss WPA Password protected Windows XP
we have restarted modem, router and wireless multiple times, it all works for few minutes and then drops.
System tray says wireless connected but the site doesnt work.
Any solutions???? |

It does sound like wireless interference causing your wireless drops. If you don't have a wireless Vonage device which I doubt you do since they are not offered anymore, the Vonage device has nothing to do with your wireless signal and only interference could cause it to drop.
Are the phones your using cordless models using the 2.4ghz range? If so, you may want to try to change the channel your wireless router is on. Try both extremes. If currently set in the middle, like on 6, try on 11 or 1. You may also want to test out with a corded phone directly to Vonage for a while leaving the cordless disconnected. If your phones are not cordless or operate on 5.8ghz or DECT 6.0 type, this should not be affecting your router. |
