Post subject: Recommend a wired phone w/ VMWI ???
I've seen a few mentions of cordless phones with various features but I'm looking for a regular wired phone that does not need an AC adapter but has voicemail indication and caller ID on the display. Any suggestions?
For cordless fans my Panasonic KX-TG5050W 5.4Ghz works very well with
Vonage
and it was a steal at less than $10 after some price-matching and coupon and rebate last week.

I bought what I thought was going to be a piece of crap wired GE caller id phone from Best Buy for 13 bucks that works suprisingly well. It has AAA batteries powering the caller id portion. I even put half dead batteries in it 4 months ago and they're still going. I highly recommend it.

I am using the Vtech 2.4 ev2625. It has 2 phones and lots of features. Each phone will display Voice mail waiting and has an intercom feature and transferring a call to another handset. The cost was about $60 but you get 2 phone.

I was under the impression that Noddy was looking for a non-cordless/wired phone. But I may look into that Vtech wireless for myself . Thanks for the info.
