Ok, I think I understand my options but could a more experienced user help me with this?
I have the Vonage World Plan as my primary (and only) phone line and want to keep it because it includes free overseas calls, free vmail transcriptions and is $10 less than Vonage Pro BUT I want to make and receive calls from my PC; Vonage Pro users can do that but they pay $10 more per month and pay additionally for vmail transcriptions and overseas calls. The soltutions I have found are...
1. add softphone for $9.99 a month. It comes with its own phone number instead of using my primary number unfortunately, but I can forward calls incoming to my primary number to softphone's number. Outgoing calls are placed over softphones number. I get 500 minutes a month and could easily use these up, though, and incur extra charges.
2. alternativelly, I could add some other company's softphone that presumably might be less expensive.
Do I understand this correctly? Any other options or advice?
