Post subject: How to setup printer/fax machine with Vonage
Have HP Officejet 4315v all in one. Have no idea how to hook up with
Vonage
. Only want to fax out and not receive. Sorry if this has been discussed a lot. I'm new. Help, please.

Your all-in-one probably has two telephone jacks on its rear panel somewhere. One of these is supposed to be connected to a wall jack that supplies dial tone; the other is supposed to be connected to a telephone set (unless the all-in-one has its own handset). Plug a modular telephone cord into the jack on the back of the all-in-one that is supposed to go to the wall jack. Plug the other end of this cord into the Phone1 or Phone2 jack on your
Vonage
box. That's it!
Remember, the Phone jack on your
Vonage
box supplies dial tone; it replaces the wall jack that supplies dial tone from your traditional phone company. Whatever was plugged into your wall jack (telephone, answering machine, fax machine, etc) can now be plugged into the Phone jack on your
Vonage
box.
