The best way to set up Vonage would be to bridge the connection. If your modem has router capabilities set them up as a bridge and let Vonage do the work as far as ppoe etc. It'll take significant strain of your modem and make things more trouble free. You'll have to log in to the modem router to set this up, and once you do you wont be able to log back in unless u direct connect the modem and bypass Vonage. When you have 3 machines working together reducing the some of the efforts on that modem and allowing Vonage to secure a connection will be much more reliable not to mention for some a bit quicker.
