Anyone have experience with Vonage Voip service and Wi-Fi?
I would like to use this service while on the road during my business travels, from internet hotspots (starbucks, library, etc) and Hotels that offer Wi-Fi (marriott). Just curious what equipment is necessary, etc
I have USB ports and an ethernet port on my computer, WinXP Home.
If I have a internet connection, Vonage should not care how I am connecting, right? DSL, Cable, T-1, WiFi, etc, as long as the speed meets min specs for Vonage. However all I see in Vonage literature is discussion of the "phone adapter", which is the go-between for the internet and the phone.
I would be interested in USB phones and/or other solutions. As we enter 2005, WiFi is only going to grow, and I hope we can use Vonage with it.
thanks! |
