Am curious if anyone uses international numbers in the Contact Center and is able to dial out successfully? I tried using both 00-country code-number as well as just country code-number, but was unsuccessful. I wish this can be done so I don't have to remember the long international numbers!
If someone is using this, please let me know how!
Thanks |

The issue with dialing international numbers via Contact Center was suppose to have been corrected by using a speed dial number for international contacts. Have you tried associating a speed dial number for your international contacts? |

Yes, that is what I have been trying to do, and it didn't seem to work. Got invalid number message for all combinations I could think of, e.g. India (country code 91) - 011-91-xx, 001-91-xx, 91-xx (using speed dials). Have you been able to dial using this? |

I just created a temporary contact (Holiday Inn in Madrid Spain) and associated a three digit speed dial number and it worked perfectly with crystal clear reception. I entered the number for Holiday Inn in Madrid Spain into Contact Center as follows: 01134914568000. If you have entered your international numbers into the Contact Center with dashes, try removing the dashes. |

Thanks for your help! Yes it worked. Actually, I was connecting through another ATA to the vonage one, and for some reason the way it passes the # at the end of the speed dial was creating the problem. I changed the dial plan in other ATA to remove the # and it works fine now.
Of course, if I use just the vonage ATA, then the # works fine.
I wonder why Vonage is not taking this out of beta and making available more easily to all - its a mighty useful feature, esp for international calls! |

Although any Vonage customer can use Contact Center, it hasn't been officially released from beta because there are still some issues related with the software. I for one still have problems using the Click-2-Call feature...sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
Glad to hear you got the international calling feature to work with the speed dial solution. |
