I am a Vonage canada customer and would like to migrate to the Vonage US plan (24.99$) plan as it allows international calling.
Does anyone have any tips on how I can get this done?
I called up Vonage Canada and they were clueless.
I'd like to keep my Canadian number.
Personally, it seems a bit silly to me to not allow me to migrate to a higher paying plan within the same company.
Anyone have any tips?
thx |

World plan is not offerred in Vonage Canada. If you need the plan, you need to get a US account. You must have a US credit/debit card. Regarding your Canadian number, you can keep it as a virtual number which will be linked to a US number. Your friends can still call you on the Canadian number but when you call out, they will see your US number in caller ID. |

Will I have to pay for this virtual number or can I just ask Vonage to fwd to this number? |

Not sure how you figure it is a higher paying plan. The CDN unlimited is $39.99 and the U.S is $24.99
Like stated you can't have a U.S account living in Canada unless you have a U.S Credit card
Vonage Canada has dropped the ball on many features that Vonage U.S has. Vonage Canada doesn't even mention all the beta stuff that is available. |

Well, I am on the 19.99$ plan and hence moving to a higher plan.
Yes, its frustrating. I noticed on Vonage US that the softphone is free for existing users. |

Oh, you are not on the unlimited plan then. I am paying $24.99 for the unlimited plan, asked for a special price and I got it.
YOu can have Vonage Talk for free www.alpha.vonage.com |
