I sign up for earthlink voice. and love it. Reading some of the post I notice that earthlink is really Vonage. Earthlink is $29 a month and Vonage is $25 a month. My question is if I change to Vonage will it go smooth? The number transfer and all of that? Will I be able to keep the same router? Thanks Ron |

you are correct about earthlink being Vonage, just branded differently. I would imagine that if earthlink assigned your phone number, you should be able to keep it with Vonage. if you transferred your number to earthlink, you should also be able to keep it. I don't know how seemless it will be though. you don't mention what router you have. who makes it and what is the model number? |

then it should work fine, although I haven't seen anyone try this before. but this is the router that Vonage sends out. I did find this post: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/remark,11570990 apparently earthlink users have to go through the same number port process as everyone else. your best bet is to just call Vonage sales and ask them. |
