I have a problem with receiving faxes, and so far Vonage has not been able to help. It seems that certain numbers receive the busy signal when dialing my fax number. I assume if it happens to two I know about, it might happen to others trying to fax me.
For example, I have 4 land lines here and 2 mobile. All except one line can access the fax. A company I do business with in NY can not access the fax number. In each case, no network or PBX is involved.
Sending faxes does not seem to be a problem, including to the numbers that can't access mine.

The problem is with the phone company that the people use who are trying to fax you. They will need to call them and say, "Hey, I can't call this number and it is a real working number."

In a lot of communities Vonage gets a brand new exchange or exchanges for all new lines. A lot of systems may be slow to be updated to allow routing of calls to the new exchanges especially since they aren't traditional networks on Vonage. My guess
