I'm fairly new to Vonage and have can't find a way to setup Voice mail for my business.
I have recorded a normal greeting (#1) and an after- hours greeting (#2) . I wish to get this system to play greeting #1 between 10:00AM and 7:00PM and #2 between 7:01PM and 9:59AM, but i can't seem to get it done. Every option I've tried does not allow me to put in my own start time and defaults to midnight and whatever end time i enter. The greeting interrupt feature only allows me to interrupt the greeting for a specific day which means that i must set this up daily.
Can anyone point me in the right direction or advise if this can or can't be done.
Thanks for your time. |

Hello,
i believe you can assign a different greeting for each day of the week or an specific day of the year, but you can't configure it in a per hour period.

Sjack,
Thanks for that. since I'm new to Vonage I'm now beginning to realize that they will tell you anything to get your money.
My question now is, if this feature or option is not available, how does one go about making a request to implement it or at least get an answers as to why it can't be done.
anyone?
Thanks again. |

I called Vonage Tech support and was told that their software does not currently support my request . So with that i decided to try something.
As of now, Vonage Voice mail allows you to have one personal greeting (#1), one additional personal greeting (#2) and one extended Absence greeting (#3).
I recorded greeting #1 as the business main greeting (10:AM to 7:00PM)
greeting #2 as my after hours greeting
greeting #3 as my after hours greeting (same message recorded for #2 and #3).
Vonage schedule greeting does not allow you to select a start time for the first greeting but does allow you to select end times. Their start time defaults to 12:00AM.
Here is what i did.
1. Programmed greeting #2 from 12:00AM (default start time) to 10:00AM
2. Programmed greeting #1 from 10:00AM to 7:00PM (office hours)
3. Programmed greeting #3 by pressing the # key. (the system automatically assigns that greeting for the rest of the day. in my case 7:00PM to 11:59PM)
Now greeting #1 plays during office hours and greeting #2 and #3 plays during non-office hours.
I could have done the same without a 3rd greeting by selecting greeting #2 from12:00AM to 10:00AM and from 7:00PM to 11:59PM |
