Post subject: Question about the Motorola VT2442...
Is the Motorola VT2442 10/100 as a router? Based on everything I can find it certainly appears to be. Can the firmware be upated to 10/100/1000? Many thanks.

No. Software / firmware does not make a router Gigabit enabled. This type of function is based upon hardware. So since the VT2442's hardware is limited to 10 /100, that is all you will ever be able to get from it. If you go to the store and buy any 10 /100 router, that is all it will ever be due to the limits of it's hardware.
