Post subject: Vonage through my PC
I recently moved and with my current house configuration I cannot put the cable modem in the Den (no cable drop). So it is with my wireless router in another room.
In my den I set up my PC that connects wirelessly to my router with no problems. I connected the
Vonage
VT2142-VD adapter to the PC in the den via ethernet. I also bridged the LAN and wireless adapter on that PC. On the adapter the power and phone light blinks, the ethernet blinks every second or two. The adapter worked before (but it was direct hard wired through the wirelss router).
Can I not connect via the PC and then wirelessly to the router like this? If so, what, if anything, am I doing wrong?
So current set up would be this.......
phone adapter -cat V ethernet- PC - Wireless - Linksys Router - Cat V - Modem - Internet

Could be the firewall on the PC. You Could also truy internet connection and sharing rather than the bridge.
