We're looking to purchase Vonage and put it in our office. We have a Firebox firewall and about 5 switches w/ 100+ computers. Is it a matter of plugging it into one of our switches and configuring the port forwarding in our firewall?
Yes. In your case you would probably want to pick up the PAP2 retail instead of the routers with the built in Vonage device that you get from Vonage direct (just a suggestion). I have a very similar setup to yours (different vendor of Firewall appliance and less hosts than yours) at home and that is precisely what I did. Another suggestion is to give your Vonage device either a static IP or a reserved DHCP address so you are not constantly updating your firewall rules. You may find (as I did) that you don't have to necessarily open all those ports on your fwall and forward. The only ones I had to add were 5060-5061 UDP. Hope this helps.
