Post subject: Preferred Broadband Service
Early on (2004) I had
Vonage
with TimeWarner cable, and had no end of problems. At the same time a fiend of mine had AT&T DSL and never experienced problems.
Presently I have Verizon FIOS and my
Vonage
service is excellent. Now, a friend is moving and wantS to have
Vonage
and is trying to decide which broadband service to choose. Her options are AT&T DSL and TimeWarner cablemodem. From my own experience I would suggest DSL, but I am looking for second opinions.
Which broadband service would you consider to work best with
Vonage
?

Either would be fine most likely. The only thing that DSL has over cable is that your bandwidth is yours on DSL. You're not sharing with everyone else on a node like you do with cable internet. However with cable you often get more speed for less than you do with DSL. It really depends on your regional factors... but in the end the quality should be achievable with either.
