Has anyone had any luck getting the V-Phone to work in Windows 7 or in a Windows XP virtual machine?

I tried windows 7 with no luck. Plugging the V phone in the USB port slows windows to a crawl. No go |

I upgraded my service to the one that includes the software. The software works good on Windows 7. The funny thing is I can't get the software to work on my XP machine. So I still use the hardware key for that. |

This is a bit messy but I have Vphone working on a PC that is running windows 7.
First you need to know if your PC's CPU supports Virtual Machine. Boot to BIOS, config and check CPU if you don't have a virtual Machine option, you are dead and the water and need to move to Vonage's software, I think it is call phoneSoft or Companion.
If you PC supports Virtual Machine you need to enable it in the BIOS.
Then you need to download Windows XP Mode and Virtual PC.

After setting up Virtual PC, Launch Windows XP Mode.
Plug in your Vphone USB drive. Select USB drive from the drop down at the top of the XP window, attach all devices and Vphone will launch automatically. Also be sure to select the USB audio option. This may help. How to Install an Application on Windows XP Mode http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/support/default.aspx Now to move your line on Vonage, you will need to use a Chrome Browser. IE was very confused when I had VM running with my Vphone. Chrome had no issues. |
